Zespri is forecasting record returns per hectare for the 2025-26 kiwifruit season, across all fruit groups.
Its November forecasts show an improvement on those in August, with returns for Zespri Green, Organic Green and Organic SunGold kiwifruit varieties now exceeding the top end of the August ranges.
Chief executive Jason Te Brake describes the season as strong with a record crop of 215 million trays harvested from New Zealand orchards.
“The forecast is positive news for our growers and reflects the continued global demand for Zespri kiwifruit, which has been particularly strong in Europe and North America, with forecast returns also benefiting from marketing spend efficiencies and favourable foreign exchange gains.”
Te Brake said there are just a few weeks of fruit left to sell.

Its latest forecast for Zespri Green is $9.65/tray up from $9.10/tray in August, while Organic Green returns are picked to increase from $12.38/tray to $13.03.
Forecast returns for SunGold have lifted from $11.30/tray to $11.70 and for Organic SunGold $14.83/tray to $15.46.
Zespri is forecasting returns for Green14 to rise from $9.54/tray to $9.68 and for RubyRed from $15.76/tray to $15.88.
Forecasts per hectare for Green are $111,471/ha, Organic Green $97,127/ha, SunGold $182,538/ha, Organic SunGold $176,777/ha, Green14 $69,453 and RubyRed $77,598.
